Inyo County Elections is currently recruiting poll workers for upcoming elections. Poll workers are a critical part of the election process. What a great opportunity to serve your community! Please join us for this rewarding experience.

Poll worker requirements:
  • Must be a registered voter in the State of California or lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States, as specified, and who is otherwise eligible to register to vote, except for his or her lack of United States citizenship.
  • Must be available to work on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of the closing procedures have been completed.
  • Must be available to attend a mandatory training class. 

Important! The Inyo County Elections office is recruiting Spanish speaking poll workers. If you, or anyone you know, speaks Spanish and would like to assist your community, please contact our office at 760-878-0224. 

Poll worker Pay:

Election workers are paid a stipend for volunteering. The stipend is set by the Inyo County Board of Supervisors.
  • Technician - $150.00
  • Inspector - $100.00
  • Election Clerk/Poll worker - $80
  • Student poll worker - $80
  • Training Class attendance - $30

Friday, October 26, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Bishop City Council Chambers

Lone Pine Training Class
Friday, November 2, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Statham Town Hall, Lone Pine
